Group, Add an Assignment For

1. Select Assignments>Add Assignment (Group) from the main menu. The Assignment Information Group window appears.

2. Enter up to 50 characters as a name or label in the Assignment field. (Some DELEGATOR functions will not display the full 50 characters without scrolling.)

3. Select an existing group name from the Group drop-down list.

4. Place a check mark in the check box if assignees can conclude the assignment.

5. Enter the priority of the assignment or use the spin buttons. If this is a secondary assignment, check the Secondary box.

6. Enter the due date for the assignment. You can enter the date using any standard format, or you can click the Cal button to call a pop-up calendar from which you can choose the date.

7. If this is to be a regularly recurring assignment, click the Repeating button to specify when the assignment is to be repeated.  (See: Assignment, Schedule Repeat.)

8. If the assignment is to be part of a project, click the drop-down button beside the Project field and  select an existing project.

9.  Enter the Start Date for the Assignment. Use the Cal button to display a calendar if necessary.

10. If you wish to add general or confidential comments, click the Comments or Confidential tabs, respectively, and enter the comments in the space provided.

11. If you wish to add reminders for this assignment, click the Reminders tab. Click the Insert button and enter the date when the reminder is to appear, as well as a brief note, and whether you wish to be alerted about this reminder on start up.

12.  If you wish to send the information as an e-mail, click the E-mail button.

13.  A log of when the assignment was created or changed is generated automatically and displayed on the Log tab.

14. Click the OK button. (Assignment name, priority, group and due date are all required before the assignment can be completed.)
