Add/Update User Window
The Add/Update User window is used to add new users to ResSched or administer access for existing users. It is called only from the Browse Users - Single Select window and can be accessed only by users with System Administrator access rights.

GENERAL TAB
User Name A unique user identifier, up to 39 characters long.
Last Name The last name of the person, up to 20 characters.
First Name The first name of the person, up to 20 characters.
Department The department or organization where the user works. Up to 40 characters (optional).
Password The user's password is displayed as '*'s. Up to 10 characters long, it must be entered exactly the same way twice.
Access Level Radio buttons that assign the user's access level.
View (Read Only) User may view only bookings and resource information. The lowest level of access.
General User Users may book resources if they have been approved to do so by a Resource Administrator or System Administrator.
Resource Administrator User may add or change resource information, including which users may book which resources.
System Administrator User can add or change users and access rights, resources, program defaults and settings. The highest level of access.
Suspended for too many password failures If users have exceeded the maximum number of password failures, their access is suspended, and this box is checked.
Authorize to book all resources Authorize this general user to book any resource. This check box is available only when 'General user' is selected in the Access Level box. When checked, the 'Authorize to view all resources' check box is disabled and the 'Book resources' and 'View resources' tabs are also disabled.
Authorize to view all resources This check box is enabled if the user is a general or view-only user. When checked, it disables the 'View resources' tab.

BOOK RESOURCES TAB

This tab lists all the resources a general user is authorized to book and view.
Add Allows a System Administrator to add one or more resources to the list. Calls the Browse Resources - Multiple Select window.
Delete Removes a selected resource from the list.
Add Group Adds all the resources in a resource group to the list.
Delete Group Deletes all the resources in a resource group from the list.
VIEW RESOURCES TAB

This tab lists those resources that a general or view-only user is authorized to view.
Add Allows a System Administrator to add one or more resources to the list. Calls the Browse Resources - Multiple Select window.
Delete Removes a selected resource from the list.
Add Group Adds all the resources in a resource group to the list.
Delete Group Deletes all the resources in a resource group from the list.
