Scan a Resource for a Month Window
The Scan a Resource for a Month window displays all bookings for one resource for a month in a standard calendar layout.
The starting week day is set by the System Administrator in the Update System Preferences window.
The display is controlled by the values entered at the top of the window. Initial values are taken from Scan settings in the Update User Preferences window. Click the Go button to display the bookings using the values in the fields at the top of the window. If the word Go is red, the display no longer reflects those values and needs to be refreshed.
If you have assigned status colors and then assigned a status to any booking, the chosen color will appear in the scan display for that booking when you select Status as the option in the Color Source drop-down list.
Unlike all the other Scan windows, this window does not use the size and position of boxes to graphically convey the duration and start time of bookings. Instead, each booking is allocated a single line of text and each is listed in order of start time for each day of the calendar. The text line includes the start time and the Scan Text option in User Preferences. Also, the window will not open if there are more than 300 bookings of a single resource for any month.

Color Source Drop-down list to select whether the colors of the booking, client or booking status are used in the display.
Resource The resource to be scanned. Enter the name of the resource or click the ... button to select from a table of existing resources.
Month Includes A date in the month to be scanned. Enter the date directly or click the Calendar button to call a look-up calendar for selecting the date.

Rows/Day The number of rows (bookings) that will be shown in a day. If there are more bookings on a day than you selected , the last row of the day reads 'More.'
Text The text to be shown, along with the start time, for a booking. You can choose among showing no text, the booking name, the client's name, or the first three letters of the booking, and use the remaining space for the client's name.
Width/Height You may change the dimensions of the columns and rows.
To view or change the details of a booking, double click the text line representing the booking.
To add a new booking, click the Add button. If a resource has been selected in this window, that resource name will appear in the Add/Update Booking window if the user is authorized to book that resource.
You may add a new booking simply by placing the cursor on a desired, empty time slot and then double clicking. The Add/Update Booking window will appear and the date and resource information will be filled in. Confirm by clicking the OK button. Note that in this window, the start time is not added automatically from the mouse position.
You may also drag an existing booking to another time slot. The Add/Update Booking window will appear and display the existing booking, but with the new date information. Confirm by clicking the OK button. In this window, the start time is not automatically changed when an existing booking is moved to another time slot. NOTE: You cannot drag an existing booking if 'Use multi-day bookings' has been turned on in System Preferences. See: Multi-day and Repeat Bookings for more information.
Existing bookings cannot be dragged and new bookings cannot be inserted by clicking a time slot if you are accessing ResSched through the Web module.
To quickly scroll up and down the window, click above or below the slider button in the vertical scroll bar rather than using the arrow buttons or dragging the slider button.
