Resource, Restrict Who Can Book or View

To provide authorization to General users so they can book a resource:

1.  Select Resource>Add Resource. The Add/Update Resource window appears.

2.  Click the Who Can Book tab.

3. If you wish to allow all General users to book the resource, check the 'All general users can book' check box. The list and buttons will become disabled.

4. If not, click the Add User button. The Browse Users - Multiple Select window appears. You may select the General users who will be allowed to book the resources.

5.  If you wish to add all the users in a user group to the list, click the Add User Group button. The Browse User Groups window appears for you to select the desired user group.

Note: General users who have been given overall authority to book all resources in the Add/Update Users window, as well as System and Resource administrators, have the right to book the resource regardless of whether or not they are on the list.

To authorize General and View only users to view a resource:

1.  Select Resource>Add Resource. The Add/Update Resource window appears.

2.  Click the Who Can View tab.

3. If you wish to allow all General and View-only users to view the resource, check the 'All general and view-only users can view' check box. The list and buttons become disabled.

4. If not, click the Add User button. The Browse Users - Multiple Select window appears for you to select the General or View-only users you wish to allow to view the resources.

5.  If you wish to add all the users in a user group to the list, click the Add User Group button. The Browse User Groups window appears for you to select the desired user group.

Note: General and View-only users who have been given overall authority to view all resources in the Add/Update Users window, as well as System and Resource administrators, have the right to book the resource regardless of whether or not they are on the list. Also, any General user having the right to book the resource automatically has the right to view it.
