TV and Video production scheduling - TV production
With ResSched we can combine and schedule all our resources including Edit rooms, personnel & equipment. It's easy to use, the views are fast and you can easily change things from the view windows. Futuractive is a very large Dutch television company, that now owns an intern editing facility counting 11 edit rooms.

To facilitate our television programs we have to use our own personel as well as freelance video editors on a daily basis on our machines. We use ResSched for our daily machine, editor and time planning - it's a constantly growing unit. We like ResSched because in the views, we can high speed plan, view, change and print our daily but also long term planning. The price is right, and we were able to base our financial administration on some of the output of ResSched.

Scheduling education rooms and AV and other equipment - University
The University bought an $8000 scheduling program that was too complex and hard to use. After seeing it, I decided to see what was available on the Internet. When I found ResSched I couldn't believe it would do what it said it could for such a low price. But it's all true. It proves you just don't have to spend a lot for a good program. We use it to schedule classrooms and equipment including computers, cameras, projectors. Our other users took to ResSched like a duck to water. They keep coming back to me saying, "did you know it can do this and that?" ResSched is cheap enough that every department can have their own version for their own purposes and they aren't dependent on a central scheduling service. They're in control of their own separate worlds.
The software is so straight forward in its operation you really don't need any training to use it effectively. It's very user-friendly to work with. What's also great is that everyone on the University network can see if a specific room or other resources are available or when a specific class is. Since our first install, two other departments have bought ResSched for their own scheduling purposes. You don't have to buy a complicated program to solve a complicated problem.

We had been using a DOS-based package that was quite useless. During our search for a new program, we found some that cost as much as $2500. Besides the fact that many were prohibitive in terms of cost, most of them had way too many bells and whistles that you have to learn before you can use them. ResSched is very comprehensive, easy to use and inexpensive. We have 53,000 square foot building that is used everyday morning to night by over 3000 people.
We used to use the calendar function in the Shelby system but I've completely dropped it in favor of ResSched because it is so much more comprehensive and easier to use. I really like ResSched's conflict capability. It eliminates a lot of problems for us. I also really like the BROWSE function. I like the way I can search by resource to help me determine what's available and when, while I'm on the phone to a potential user. We run a huge program and thanks to ResSched, we run it well.

"We were looking for a good software package that provided a graphical display of our installation scheduling and ResSched was pretty much the only one we found. Nothing else even came close to what we wanted. Intellilink Services is a PC-based Point of Sale software company. We use ResSched to schedule our installers. Typically they require a certain amount of time to prepare for an install, a certain amount of time for the onsite installation and wrap-up. "We discovered that very few resource schedulers can handle bookings on a per- room basis, and produce reports on a calendar basis. We use to book all our meeting rooms and boardrooms. All a user on the network needs to do is install a shortcut on the desktop and they have access to the booking information.

Scheduling counseling and other facilities - Social service agency
"Having the responsibility for IT, Telecoms, Building Maintenance and development and Health & Safety, I decided upon ResSched. After examining numerous packages, we trialed three others in addition to ResSched. Affordability and simplicity in operation and installation were key deciding factors.We use ResSched for all bookings of the Centre's accommodation.
We currently undertake over 9,000 hours of counseling within the Center's dedicated counseling suite, which comprises six counseling rooms. There are thirty-five counselors that undertake these counseling sessions. In addition we have a coffee shop, 220 seat auditorium, three halls catering from 40 to 120 people, a series of five offices currently on lease to other charitable organizations and of course other ancillary accommodation.The Centre also is home to PACE which is the largest Youth Theatre Company and workshop in the United Kingdom having over 1,000 members.
The Centre is used by over 2,500 people every week from charities to dance classes, theatre groups, church organizations and so on.The coordination and resource planning would be a nightmare without the flexibility and ease of use of ResSched.The Centre was officially opened by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal (Princess Anne) on Friday, June 22, 2001.

Scheduling educational rooms and AV services - Law school
It seems it was built for a person like me. I find it quite easy to work with. I schedule 10 classrooms, four meeting rooms and two courtrooms.
Included in the mix is a lot of AV and video recording equipment and five technicians, four of whom are freelance. Each of the freelancers has times during specific days when they are not available and ResSched allows me to ensure I book them only when they are available. The multiple bookings allow me to block off certain days for regularly scheduled court practice sessions.

Our Information Services department researched a variety of scheduling software. We contract and provide athletic training services to six schools and universities. We have six trainers and I like the fact that I can print off the full schedule and provide copies to everyone as well as individual schedules for each trainer. I also like the conflict feature - I just know it's prevented mistakes.

Scheduling training resources and equipment - Fire fighting academy
I can customize the names of specific components with our own terminology. We are responsible for training all the firefighters for the state of Utah, which consists of 285 fire departments. We have a complete compliment of fire fighting equipment, which we use both in training and on a loan basis to any and all fire departments as needs arise.
Consequently we not only schedule all our training courses, classrooms, and students, we also schedule the use of every piece of fire fighting equipment we have available for use in the field including 32 vehicles. We have a lot of information to enter, and using ResSched makes it a lot easier than many programs I've tried.

Scheduling field personnel - Oil and gas
We wanted a simple scheduling solution for our maintenance department that we could share across our network. We have 10 offshore oil platforms and a team of roving maintenance crew that visits those platforms on a fairly regular basis. We were having trouble scheduling mechanics, electricians and instrument technicians for various projects and shutdown works. We have to tie their visits in with scheduled helicopter flights to each platform.
We like the graphical representation of the schedule so we can instantly see who's available. The ease and speed ResSched is what I really like. There's lots more complicated software out there, and while they may be more in-depth, you have to put in a lot more just so you can use them. Not so with ResSched.

Scheduling clinic trials - Health Research
ResSched is the best of all the scheduling software I'd seen and tried. Much of the software I looked at was far too complex and costly for our needs. We are one of the largest and most innovative MS clinics in Canada. As a result, we have a large number of MS patients who are involved in clinical drug trials.
We use ResSched to schedule the patients for a whole variety of procedures including cognitive and neurological testing, chest XRays, ECGs, MRIs, blood work, and of course, appointments with doctors. We looked at a lot of software designed for the healthcare field and ResSched performed more of the functions that we wanted. I like the simplicity of ResSched.

Scheduling interactive TV classes - Technical College
Fox Valley provides technical education at the college level. I am personally responsible for scheduling interactive television classes for 16 colleges in Wisconsin. This means I manage the use of multiple rooms in each of the 16 schools, along with their TV and A/V equipment, and the bandwidth that distributes our training to each of those sites.
Before we bought ResSched, we produced an RFP asking for bids for a suitable software package. Costs were way out of line. We looked at developing our own and while the powers that be looked at that, I decided I'd look for a solution elsewhere. I attended tradeshows, and did a lot of research but no software I saw would do the job I needed it to do. Finally ResSched appeared and I knew within an hour that it was the right package for me.ResSched is the best software package at a very reasonable price that's a real time saver and a cost saver for me personally and the institution I work for.

Compared to the other software we looked at, ResSched was the best for the price, and for the features it has and the functions it performs. We have about 5000 cattle and everyday we milk 2300 cows. We schedule the work that 23 employees do on a daily basis. Half of those are repetitive, the remaining 12 or so employees are scheduled for such things as health checks, administering medication and nutritional supplements etc. It allows me to schedule multi resources with multi people. I just started using the software without any training, which speaks well for its ease of use.

We had outgrown the pen and paper method. I downloaded the demo and two of our administrative staff tried it out. We have a 20 station phone centre set up to interview doctors about new medications or drugs that our client pharmaceutical companies manufacture. Our approach is to make an appointment with a doctor for an interview, rather than just calling doctors out of the phone book.
ResSched schedules our phone operators to suit doctors' appointment times. I personally found it extremely easy to install on our company network. What's important for me is that I don't get any complaints or technical problems from our users about errors or functionality. That is key in my job.

After a fairly lengthy search and trying other scheduling software demos, I found that ResSched had everything I wanted and needed in a program. Also, most of the other programs were more complex to learn and more expensive.
We schedule six people and three vehicles for two main functions:
- visiting homes and providing estimates for work to be done;
- doing the actual work on-site. I like everything about the software.
It meets all my needs. The phone support has been superb too. I have never been put on hold; someone always answers the phone and gives me answers to my questions right away. That's not been my experience with larger companies - they don't seem to care and they don't even want to hear any ideas for improvements.

It has taken me three years to find a program that would do what I wanted it to do. Before ResSched I was using a paper method and it was not doing the job. Our space is in high demand. I am thrilled with its ease of use and adaptability. I can modify the titles, the time increments. All in all, I am really happy the program is so simple. We had a growing need to get our meeting calendars more organized and ResSched fit the bill. Our data processing specialist is the person who researched scheduling software and she determined that ResSched was the best for us. The Foundation is a homeowner association for a planned community. We have been using the software since last fall.
We manage several homeowner associations within the community of 35,000 people. We have ten resources which are constantly used day-in day-out for meetings, classes, recreation purposes and staff needs. We also have some private rentals. On any one day we may have 10-12 bookings for rooms or space for a whole variety of purposes.
We find it extremely useful - in fact we are increasingly using it in a number of different ways. Vehicle and audio/visual equipment use are two resources we have recently added. We are looking at the possibility of landscaping maintenance scheduling as another activity for which to use ResSched.

Vehicle and Employee Scheduling - Tour and Charter Operator
"The important thing for me was that I could download the software and try it out before I bought it.
While there are other packages around, after playing with ResSched over the weekend, we decided it was the right package for us. We own four trolleys which we charter on a daily basis for one and two hour public and private guided tours of the town as well as for other events such as weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, parties etc.

The special module tracks the employees' hours for each week and produces a printout of those hours. I can make a last minute change and fax it to the garage before a driver comes to pickup a trolley - it's that fast convenient. When an employee is sick, we have to juggle things to we replace a driver or tour guide as necessary. We have about 35 part time employees which we schedule for the tours. Before we got ResSched we were making a lot of mistakes. Now ResSched keeps us totally organized."

Delivery Scheduling - Concrete company
It was an easy decision to make pretty soon after I gave it a try. I knew it was the right one for our purposes. We manufacture lightweight and normal weight concrete blocks and deliver them with our own trucks within a 150 mile radius of our plant. We have 11 trucks that each make up to three trips per day. Although there is logistics software out there, we don't need anything nearly that complex.
ResSched does the job really well. After I read the help files, it was easy to configure the program for my purposes. I really like the ability to change some of the names and use our own terminology.

Technician Scheduling - Computer installation and support
We chose ResSched because of the simple functions, features and options, along with the pricing and the familiar interface. We do onsite hardware repair, software trouble shooting, installation, general consulting, and software development.
We use ResSched to schedule onsite visits by our technicians, some of which are repeat visits and some are just one time only. We like the reminders that remind us to do certain things before a meeting, the ability to block out certain times for employees who don't work certain days.

Out Patient Scheduling - Hospital
We bought ResSched over four years ago. We were looking for a simple program to handle out-patients and yours was the only easy-to-use programs. It lends itself quite nicely to a physician's office procedure.

Initially we pre-block times for each of the doctors and clinicians so they can schedule regular patients around those blocks using their own appointment systems.
We then use ResSched to schedule SCREENING INTERVIEWS for new out-patients. We like that it is a problem-free system and it's available on the network anywhere in the hospital. We can make changes quickly while on the phone to a doctor who wants to make a change. And it's accessible and very flexible.
When I've called to get some support, I have been amazed that I have gotten a live person to talk to instead of some voicemail system. To me, that's superb added value in terms of customer service.
