You have the option of running ResSched Web as a normal Windows program or as a Windows Service. Running ResSched Web as service has these advantages,
| 1) | ResSched Web will be loaded automatically when Windows starts up even if there is no user logged on |
| 2) | ResSched Web is not associated with any particular user log on |
| 3) | ResSched Web does not take up space on your Windows Task Bar. |
But there are some disadvantages as well:
| 1) | There is somewhat more administration to using ResSched Web as a service |
| 2) | Administrators cannot see if ResSched Web is running without using the Windows Service Manager or Task Manager |
| 3) | Under VISTA, you cannot view the GET and POST transactions without saving the transactions to file. |
| 4) | You must stop and restart the ResSched Web service anytime you change the other ResSched Web server settings |
| Use the WebSet.exe program to install and manage ResSched Web as a service. | |
