Add a booking

Authorized users can add a booking using Bookings>Add Booking from the main menu.   At present,  ResSched Web limits new bookings to a single occurrence.   Users that need to make repeat occurrence bookings should use the ResSched Wide Area workstation programs.

 

A booking must consist of a name for the event or activity, date, start and end times, a status, and at least one resource.  It may also have client (required or optional), category, and notes depending on system preferences.   Where available, use the look up buttons beside the entry to ensure accuracy.  After filling in the required and optional entries, click Save.

General Tab

 

Start with the general tab and enter the name of the booking, the date, start and end times, and status of the booking.  Client and category fields may also be available depending on system settings. Time format is in hours and minutes in either 24 hour or AM/PM format as chosen by your system administrator.

 

Resources Tab

 

The Resources tab lets you select the resources used for the booking and, if there is more than one, which resource is the primary resource for the booking.

Click the Add button to select the first resource for the booking using the Browse Resources page.  Highlight the resource you want and click the Select button.   You must confirm the number of units of the resource to be used for the booking. (Beta note:  Future releases will skip this step for resources that only have one unit.)
