How do I install the Standard Edition?

Top  Previous  Next

You can install ResSched program files (.exe, .dll ) on a central server, or on each individual user's workstation.  Data files (.tps), however, must all be centrally located in one folder on one machine that is accessible to all users.   Installing the program files on individual workstations may provide faster performance, but it does require more administration.  We recommend that you start with the program files on central machine.  The following instructions assume you are the ResSched System Administrator.

1.Run the ResSched setup program to install the ResSched program files onto the machine that will hold the data files.  When asked specify a folder that will be accessible to all users as your data folder.

2.To keep the program files on one central machine, on each workstation create a shortcut with resschm.exe on the central machine as the Target property and the shared data folder as the Start in property.

3.To install the program files on each workstation, run the setup program on the workstation accepting the defaults. When the setup program asks,  specify the shared data folder on the server as the data folder.  If you later need to use a different folder for the data, simply change the Start in property of each of the ResSched program shortcuts to the new data folder.
